The men's Ballast by Timberland PRO is a comfortable 6-inch leather work boot that functions well in a variety of work environments.
This Ballast lace-up work boot meets ASTM and CSA Grade 1 standards for electrical hazards, impact and compression, with a composite safety toe, and also is puncture-resisting. Available in a Guacho Saddleback full-grain leather, this boot is durable; a reinforced heel area helps with kick off. A rubber outsole with defined heel rounds out the package. Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to slow down conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
Puncture Resistant
PR footwear reduces the possibility of sharp objects (nails, glass or metal) penetrating through the outsole causing injury to the foot. Protection is provided by a steel or puncture resistant material imbedded in the insole of the footwear.
CSA Approved Soles that provide electric shock resistance
Soles that provide electric shock resistance. Such certified footwear contains a sole and heel design assembly that, at the point of manufacturing, has electrical insulating properties.
CSA Approved - Sole Puncture Protection with Grade 1 Protective Toe
Grade 1 protective toe will withstand up to 125 joules (50 lbs) dropped from 0.6 m. Sole puncture protection is designed to withstand a force of not less than 1200 Newtons (270 lbs) and resist cracking after being subjected to 1.5 million flexes. -
