Polyurethane outsole material not only helps make lighter weight steel toe work boots, but also gives to help take some of the stress and strain away from the wearer's feet and body.
Another key feature to the Lehigh stock # 5030 work boot comfort package is its TS-100 steel toe cap. The Lehigh TS-100 steel toe cap is made with a higher and wider design than traditional steel toe caps. This higher and wider design helps create steel toe footwear that exceeds the highest ASTM F2413-05 Protective Toe footwear standards for Impact & Compression by significant amounts. Work boots with this steel toe cap also have been utilized by many people who have wanted &/or physically need more toe room than conventional steel toe caps provide.
As a further addition, Lehigh Safety Shoe stock # 5030 work boot also complies with ASTM F2413-05 Electrical Hazard standards. This type of work boot is made with insulating bottoms providing secondary electrical hazard protection to those areas dealing with open circuits under dry conditions, but also can be worn in work areas requiring only basic protective toe work boots.
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
