Footwear is constructed of materials that, when in contact with properly grounded floor surfaces, will safely discharge static build-up through the shoe to the floor. Our testing experience contributed to the SD standard established in Section 6 of the ANSI Z41 and carried over to the current ASTM standards.
CSA Approved - Grade 1 Protective Toe only
Grade 1 protective toe withstands impacts up toe 125 Joules. Comparable to a 22.7 kg (50lb) weight dropped from 0.6 m.

Is this shoe true to size? Or should I go up a half size? For instance, I wear a 9 1/2 would that be sufficient being that I am ordering a wide width? Thanks.

My understanding is that this shoe fits true to standard sizes. I recommend ordering the size you wear most frequently. We do offer free standard shipping and free returns within the continental U. S. Simply try you new shoes on well in the comfort of your home. If the fit is not right, you may return the shoes.
