Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to slow down conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
Metatarsal Guard
Footwear offering metatarsal protection is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either internal or external metatarsal guards.
Puncture Resistant
PR footwear reduces the possibility of sharp objects (nails, glass or metal) penetrating through the outsole causing injury to the foot. Protection is provided by a steel or puncture resistant material imbedded in the insole of the footwear.
CSA Approved Soles that provide electric shock resistance
Soles that provide electric shock resistance. Such certified footwear contains a sole and heel design assembly that, at the point of manufacturing, has electrical insulating properties.
CSA Approved - Sole Puncture Protection with Grade 1 Protective Toe
Grade 1 protective toe will withstand up to 125 joules (50 lbs) dropped from 0.6 m. Sole puncture protection is designed to withstand a force of not less than 1200 Newtons (270 lbs) and resist cracking after being subjected to 1.5 million flexes.

comfortable and durableI've had these boots for a year now. Though at first they were a little uncomfortable do to the tongue situation, after about a week of breaking them in they were perfectly fine. I've recommended these boots to multiple co-workers and they all love them as well. Very comfortable do to the anti-fatigue heel.

Sturdy Work bootI bought a pair of these 2 years ago and just re-ordered the same pair again. Only issue I've had is the tongue is short so the eyes to tie my boots dig into my ankle sometimes. Other than that they are great work boots. Durable.

I would buy again! As a concrete driver everybody knows concrete will eat through anything in time... I have now had these boots 4 months and I have not had to replace the shoelaces once. I did have to get a doctor Scholls for the inside just to make more comfy my preference. After owning the Pro endurance knowing it was a good boot but was just not happy with having to always change out the laces I got these. The only downfall they are a bit heavy especially after a 12 hour day but I have to say definitely a good strong work boot and waterproof!

Over a yearIm a welder and these boots have lasted over year. Through molten metal...sharp edges....paint....sand blasting...sparks and splatter these boots just now started to fall apart....but even now they still feel comfortable but their exterior just now not holding together. Overall these boots did the job for me...time to get some more

I would definitely recommend to a friend/co workerI work in a metal fabrication plant where we're constantly walking on spikes or steel plates that vary in degrees ranging from 300 to 1200 degrees and these boots hold up like a real champ. The anti-fatigue is phenomenal. Comfort is key with these boots, the only complaints I have is when your bending over or squatting down the metatarsal guard is pretty forthright on your shins but not overbearing. I would recommend these boots to the crew that I work with but I can't because they recommended them to me and I couldn't be more grateful.

I'd pass on this bootComfortable boot but only lasted 6 months and fell apart. Seams are ripping, holes in the tips and met guards fell off. Very dissatisfied with derabilty especially for the price.

Is this boot made in the usa
Asked by: carla
This Timberland Style A172T214 is not made in the USA. If you are looking for a boot made in the USA, you can get to top of web page and under the Men’s or women’s drop down there is a category titled American Made. Plus, every boot that is made in the USA will have an American Flag and will say USA Made under the boots Features Tab. I hope this helps.

Hello are these sizes women?
I wear a 7 1/2 in women's shoes.
Asked by: Vthomas0847
The sizes when they are Unisex are in Men’s sizing. So, when converting to women’s size they say you should go down by 1 ½ sizes, that means if you normally wear a 7 ½ in women’s you would want to order this boot in a size 6 medium. When you receive this boot just try it on in the comfort of your own home and if the fit is not satisfactory you can return for a refund. I usually wear 37 (in women EU size). But my feet measure 23cm. Should I order 4.5 or 5 ?
Thanks
Asked by: alize
When converting women's shoe sizes to men's shoe sizes you need to size down two whole sizes. For your example, a woman's U.S. shoe size 6 ½ (37 EU) is a men's U.S. shoe size 4 ½. So, I would order a men’s size 4 ½ but try these on in the comfort of your home and walk around in the shoes to make sure they are a comfortable fit. Please if you find that the fit is not comfortable you can use our free returns to get a refund for your shoes. I wear a 7.5-8 in women's so what size would I need in unisex, and does the external metatarsal lift for foot insertion
Asked by: Suzie
Unisex styles are men's styles that have an extended size run into smaller than normal sizes to allow for women, who on average have smaller feet, to also wear the style.
There is an attached size chart with each style. To find the corresponding men's size to the women's size you wear, find your size on women's (W) line in the size chart and order the men's (M) size directly above it. For example, I normally wear a 6.5 - 7, but most frequently a 7. So I find my size 7 and above it is a 5.5. I would order a 5.5.
Yes, the external met lifts to allow foot entry.
