PR footwear reduces the possibility of sharp objects (nails, glass or metal) penetrating through the outsole causing injury to the foot. Protection is provided by a steel or puncture resistant material imbedded in the insole of the footwear.
CSA Approved - Sole Puncture Protection with Grade 1 Protective Toe
Grade 1 protective toe will withstand up to 125 joules (50 lbs) dropped from 0.6 m. Sole puncture protection is designed to withstand a force of not less than 1200 Newtons (270 lbs) and resist cracking after being subjected to 1.5 million flexes.

This copper brown work boot has great safety features. It's the Royer Rovak Steel Toe Conductive CSA-Approved Puncture-Resistant Linemen's Boot.
The safety toe boot meets the ASTM standard for protective toe, resisting up to 75 pounds of impact or compression. It also meets the CSA standard. This men's work boot is puncture-resistant, meeting both the ASTM and CSA requirements for this feature, and it's electrical resistant to between 0 and 10,000 ohms.
The 10-inch lineman's boot is made of copper brown full-grain leather. It has a padded ankle section, and a double-conductive calf strap.
The Chevron vulcanized rubber outsole resists oils and slips. This also is a conductive sole.
Inside the steel toe boot is a steel shank for arch support and a comfortable leather lining.
