Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to slow down conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
Puncture Resistant
PR footwear reduces the possibility of sharp objects (nails, glass or metal) penetrating through the outsole causing injury to the foot. Protection is provided by a steel or puncture resistant material imbedded in the insole of the footwear.
CSA Approved Soles that provide electric shock resistance
Soles that provide electric shock resistance. Such certified footwear contains a sole and heel design assembly that, at the point of manufacturing, has electrical insulating properties.
CSA Approved - Sole Puncture Protection with Grade 1 Protective Toe
Grade 1 protective toe will withstand up to 125 joules (50 lbs) dropped from 0.6 m. Sole puncture protection is designed to withstand a force of not less than 1200 Newtons (270 lbs) and resist cracking after being subjected to 1.5 million flexes.

durableBought these boots to work in a diesel service shop, Boots would get worn 8 plus hours a day across many different surfaces. Had the boots a little over a year and left the service shop to work on a dairy farm. Boots have held up for another 6 months while working on the farm. And i would wear the boots all the time even slogging through the manure in the dairy barn. Its only recently that i have started to consider replacing the boots will definitely buy again.

Great boots...Great price! All I can add to the positive reviews of these boots is...the guys who gave these a negative review must be "He'll on Wheels". I'm a Field Service Tech for a heavy equipment distributor. I'm in mud, water, grease, oil, coolant, and abrasive materials every day, ALL day. I have gone through four pair of these in five years. I could by any boot I want...my company will reimburse at cost. These...ARIAT...are the boots I will continue to buy.

Great BootsHave had them for over a year, still comfortable, still great condition for wearing them every day, bottoms wear down like usual, so normal wear. This is my second pair i have had. Only reason I give four stars is due to once the soles start wearing out the layer of material with the traction starts to tear off the main part of the sole.Other than that I would recommend these boots to anyone who does a manual labor job.
This boot, the Ariat Workhog Composite Toe CSA-Approved Puncture-Resistant Western Work Boot, is not a waterproof boot. It is a boot that meets the ASTM and CSA standards for impact, compression, electrical hazard, and puncture-resistance.
A similar boot that is waterproof is style 10017175, the Ariat Workhog Composite Toe CSA-Approved Puncture-Resistant Waterproof Western Work Boot.
