Additional Information

Michelin:   6 " Michelin HydroEdge Waterproof Steel Toe Work Boot

XHY662

Michelin:   The development of Michelin work footwear is the latest extension of the Michelin brand.   Using knowledge and expertise developed from producing tires and applying it to the occupational footwear market, Michelin now offers a new class of high performance boots and shoes.

There have been many upgrades in technology over time allowing for better Lehigh products.   One of the most significant changes for Lehigh through the years has been its being acquired by Rocky Brands in 2005.   This has helped open the door to some excellent production additions to the Lehigh line including those from the Michelin brand including 6 " Michelin Waterproof Steel Toe Work Boot stock # XHY662.

Michelin safety shoes are made with high quality rubber outsoles combining both excellent slip resistant and wear qualities.

A key feature of the XHY662 Work Boot is its Waterproof construction.   It combines a waterproof inner layer with the upper providing a barrier that helps keep water out and feet dry.

A key comfort feature of the XHY662 is its contoured removable orthotic TPU insole that is excellent for those seeking arch support.   The polyurethane material used in its insole is known for its cushioning while not bottoming out features.   The rigid TPU material helps provide underfoot support in the arch area.

In addition to meeting the highest ASTM F2413-05 Impact & Compression standards, Michelin stock # XHY662 work boot also complies with ASTM F2413-05 Electrical Hazard standards. This type of work boot is made with insulating bottoms providing secondary electrical hazard protection to those areas dealing with open circuits under dry conditions, but also can be worn in work areas requiring only basic protective toe work boots.

If you have interest in a Puncture Resistant styles with these features, please check out Michelin stock # XHY866 on our site.

    Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
    Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to retard conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
    Waterproof
This product is built with quality waterproofing materials to keep you dry in wet environments.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sounds like your walking on ducks!!! I just wear them as work boots. Very comfortable, good toe room. I was very happy with them at first. I figured the VERY squeaky soles would wear in. Six months later they are noisier than ever. It is bad enough that I am now searching for something to replace these perfectly comfortable boots. Surface does not matter, they quack all the time. They are now the butt of jokes where I work, and will end up in the garbage as soon as a replacement is found. I am not being harsh, these boots only failed in one area, and they failed BIG. I can not recommend them to a friend, but I would recommend them to an enemy as I could hear them trying to sneak up on me. Ha

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My safety depends on the right footware I have been a professional driver for the past 22 years and have used all kinds of boots cause of the name brand, cost, and style; but ever since I tried this style on about a year and a half ago I am hooked. It is light, comfortable, stylish, and most of all durable. I purchased another pair not because they were worn out but because the company gives us an annual boot allowance. I am in and out of my truck all day long and have to pull heavy containers; however, at the end of the day my feet don't ache like they did with other boots. Thank you for designing such a well rounded boot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quiet the Duck I read that these boots quacked when the wearer walks. But they are so attractive and well suited to the type of work that I do, then I decided to gamble on the shoe. It payed off. Although the shoe did in fact quack while I walked, simply taking the special built Michelin insole out silenced the duck. I put the insoles in a pair of sneakers and not a peep.In fact, they feel great Then I replaced the boot insole with another insole, and the boots did not make a sound. So for some reason, that insole in that shoe is not a good marriage. I firmly recommend these boots to anyone who may do a lot of hiking/survey type work. The high tongue will keep the water out when crossing creeks. The soles could be a little deeper, but supply enough grip. Good shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable work boot This is my fourth Michelin set of boots and my second pair of this specific model. My previous pair I'm finishing off until January 1st which will make a full two years in one set of boots at work. I average 45 hours a week in work boots in a factory setting. I've been working in factories as a maintenance technician for 13 years almost and this is by far the most comfortable pair of boots I've worn. Also the fact they lasted 2 years speaks for itself. They have good arch support. Soft soles and good traction on oily floors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots I have bought 3 pairs of this boots and they are very comfortables

Rated 4 out of 5 by from the reason for the squeaking the squeaking is due to the hard plastic base of the insole rubbing on the bottom of the shoe. I put some used dryer sheets under the insole and fixed the problem. These will slide around, though. you can also dust the bottom with some baking soda or talcum powder. The worst thing about them is that you feet get really damp after a while, especially if you do a lot of walking. need to have a 2nd pair of shoes to give them a rest.
