Excellent for oily floorsI've had these for two weeks now. First thing I had to do is put in Dr. Scholl's Gel. This boots get pretty hot, I'm forced to wear thin socks. It does offer good traction on oily floors.

Just sayin'I got these boots through our boot program at work (state job). They discountinued the slip grip boots that I always used before and this was the only slip resistant option I had. I don't know if it's a coincidence or not but shortly after wearing these boots I developed plantar faciitis in my right foot. I don't know if you'vr ever experienced this, but it's very painful. I ended up going to the doctor and getting a series of shots to relieve the pain and have since bought a pair of athletic slip grip shoes (not boots) from this site. They are a good shoe for my work (corrections).

uncomfortablethe inserts on these boot is like a piece of cardboard, no cushion, very hard and uncomfortable. I always got the slipgrips hikers but they are no longer available in my size, so I ordered these thinking they would be similar, what a mistake!

Great looking boot. Unfortunately your wide width was to narrow for my feet. Suggested to wear for 30 minutes on carpet, I could not keep on for 5. Had to send back. Would like conformation that my money has been returned to my account.
Are these slip resistant when climbing the ladder on the back of a tanker trailer when the ladder rungs are wet or icy?

This pair of Grabbers Style: G1240 I would not recommend for climbing on a ladder that is wet or icy they are designed more for a flat surface that is wet or slippery. When climbing ladders most would recommend a boot that has a 90-degree heel (Defined Heel) that offers better stability on ladders. There is a sole made by Vibram that is called Fire & Ice Sole which has Superior performance industrial compound that is Engineered to withstand extreme temperature ranges ( -4 °F to +482 °F) which would perform better in the extreme cold environment.
