Michelin: 6" Michelin HydroEdge Waterproof Puncture Resistant Composite Toe Work Boot

XHY864

Michelin: The development of Michelin work footwear is the latest extension of the Michelin brand. Using knowledge and expertise developed from producing tires and applying it to the occupational footwear market, Michelin now offers a new class of high performance boots and shoes.

There have been many upgrades in technology over time allowing for better Lehigh products. One of the most significant changes for Lehigh through the years has been its being acquired by Rocky Brands in 2005. This has helped open the door to some excellent production additions to the Lehigh line including those from the Michelin brand including 6" Michelin Waterproof Composite Toe Puncture Resistant Work Boot stock # XHY864.

Michelin safety shoes are made with high quality rubber outsoles combining both excellent slip resistant and wear qualities.

A key feature of the XHY864 Work Boot is its Waterproof construction. It combines a waterproof inner layer with the upper providing a barrier that helps keep water out and feet dry.

A key comfort feature of the XHY864 is its contoured removable orthotic TPU insole that is excellent for those seeking arch support. The polyurethane material used in its insole is known for its cushioning while not bottoming out features. The rigid TPU material helps provide underfoot support in the arch area.

In addition to meeting the highest ASTM F2413-05 Impact & Compression standards, the Michelin XHY864 work boot also has a Non-metallic Lenzi Puncture Resistant device that helps provide underfoot protection from nails and needles. This can be an excellent feature for those working in the waste industry.

Another key feature of the XHY864 is that is made with a Non-metallic composite toe cap that along with all of the other non-metallic features used in its construction helps provide totally non-metallic safety shoes that are desired for work areas having to pass through metal detectors.

As a further addition, Michelin stock # XHY864 work boot also complies with ASTM F2413-05 Electrical Hazard standards. This type of work boot is made with insulating bottoms providing secondary electrical hazard protection to those areas dealing with open circuits under dry conditions, but also can be worn in work areas requiring only basic protective toe work boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again This is the best pair of work boots I have ever owned, I hope Michelin keeps making these boots. It is perfect for what field of work I'm in,very lightweight but durable at the same time. We got 5 inches of rain last weekend and as soon as I got home ( dry feet ) it doesn't get any better than that. Did mentioned that they are also comfortable? Yes they are!!! 12 hours at the refinery on my feet and my feet are not heavy when I get home!! I love my Michelin's......;-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money My company supplies me with one pair of work shoes a year. Michelin work boots last 2 years or better under all conditions. I work in business aviation so I am outside a lot and in all weather.Michelin boots always perform well for me with zero defects. They are indeed worth the few extra dollars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best boot ever Can't believe there's bad reviews on this boot! I've been wearing them every day 12+ hours a day for a year and they have TONS of wear left on them. They feel like you are wearing a running shoe; SO comfortable compared to every other work boot I've worn. Will never wear any other brand again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boot, Light, Comfrotable, Durable I purchased my pair a year ago, they were a little stiff at first - I put some quart bottles of Gatorade in the shoe for a week or so to expand the opening a little. They had been rubbing my ankle a little. They fit great after that. The composit toe is light and doesn't get as cold as the metal toes in most safety shoes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Michelin Waterproof Little noisy, don't breath as well as advertised, and the break in period was longer than expected, Other than those small issues I love the boots. They are lightweight and comfortable for all day use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice boot I love the in-sole. The boot itself is very light weight

Rated 3 out of 5 by from STUFFY These boots are light weight, have good wear qualities, pass through metal detectors just fine, and have remained water proof so far. That's the pro's, the con is they are uncomfortably warm until broken in and they do not breathe. My feet have never had a foot odor from boots that are not rated as waterproof which is readily apparent after wearing these.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Weird smell and ripped seams! I wore these boots for one year in mostly a light-duty work environment. Shortly after purchasing these boots I started thinking my cat was urinating in my house, but to my suprise the smell was coming from the boots. (No, my cat doesn't go in my boots). I tolerated it because they were otherwise comfortable and had the features I needed. I am now searching for a new and different style of boot because the side of the boot just ripped out at two seams and is obviously no longer waterproof.

Asked by: scott
My apologies, but this style has been discontinued. There is no remaining stock in a size 13 M. You may want to consider the following styles: N1845, 804-4900, or G6644.
