Its upper has been assembled with full-grain leather; the brown hue of the leather appears distressed, so it instantly adds ruggedness to its appearance. Having the lace-up design on this Hiker allows you to adjust the fit to however you are most comfortable. Plus on the exterior there is a really nifty heel counter, this allows you to push off this Hiker with your other foot without damaging the leather. This feature is especially handy when your footwear is covered in mud, plus it helps protect this BarnStormer Hiker against abrasions.
Within the interior, the mesh lining helps wick away moisture, the footbed provides cushioning and support and because the footwear was built with Rocky waterproof construction your feet are guaranteed to remain dry. Collectively, these are the features that will keep you cool, comfortable and dry.
As you're walking your footing will be stable and the arches of your feet will be supported because of the Hiker's fiberglass shank. The outsole has been made from a combination of rubber and EVA; it has great durability and you'll like how lightweight it is. The BarnStormer heel fits into a stirrup fantastically, but even if you don't use this footwear for horse riding, you will like that the low heel allows you to maintain a steady stride.
