Rocky:   6" Rocky Waterproof Composite Toe Work Boot
R6004

One of the key features of Rocky stock # R6004 is its non-metallic composite toe cap.   The combination of this toe cap along with the other features of R6004 allows this style to meet the highest ASTM F2413-05 Protective Toe footwear standards for Impact & Compression resistance.   The unique combination of this toe cap's protective properties along with it being of a non-metallic material, make it ideal for areas requiring protective toe safety shoes that may have to pass through metal detectors during work.   It should be noted that we have made R6004 with totally non-metallic components to aid in this regard.   This is well suited for various transportation and prison oriented work areas.

An additional feature of the R6004 Work Boot is its Rocky Waterproof construction.   It combines a waterproof inner layer with the upper providing a barrier that helps keep water out and feet dry.

A key comfort feature of the R6004 is its contoured removable polyurethane cushion insole providing direct underfoot cushion comfort.   The polyurethane material used in its insole is known for its cushioning while not bottoming out features.   Some open celled foams feel very comfortable to the initial touch, but will tend to break down faster than a product made with polyurethane.   Plus, it is extra thick in the heel contact area.   This provides additional underfoot comfort to the wearer.

In addition to meeting the highest ASTM F2413-05 Impact & Compression standards, Rocky stock # R6004 also complies with its Electrical Hazard standards. This type of work boot is made with insulating bottoms providing secondary electrical hazard protection to those areas dealing with open circuits under dry conditions, but also can be worn in work areas requiring only basic protective toe work boots.

    Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
    Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to retard conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
    Waterproof
This product is built with quality waterproofing materials to keep you dry in wet environments.
    Non-metallic
Constructed using no metal material or parts. Perfect for working environments that require passing through metal detectors.

Rocky AlphaForce Composite Toe Waterproof Duty Boot is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Some of the Best I perform Security at an industrial site with a lot of varied surfaces and very hazardous materials including acids. These boots are still great after a year now. Right out of the box they were incredibly light and comfortable and they looked really cool. They have taken a lot of abuse and have not broken so much as a stitch and I walk miles and miles every night. Pavement; gravel, grass, dirt, hard stairs, concrete, chemical environments, electrical areas, snow, wet conditions are all part of my work travels. These boots handle the task as comfortably as possible. I even wear them outside of work. The only other boots I owned that compared were Herman Survivors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fitting I bought these for work outside in Northern New Hampshire Weather. I needed composite toe so my toes wouldn't freeze like in steel toe boots. Walked in them for a day and couldn't beleive they were broken in and fit like a comfortable old shoe. They have a fantastic gripping deep sole and are very warm in the cold weather. I couldn't have picked a better boot for my work. I will buy one or two pair every year from now on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Boot Ever I work for a company that demands that I use a composite toe boot. You get a voucher and Lehigh is on of the stores you can use it in.I got this boot because it was waterproof, had a generous toe and zipper.I've been using them for less than 8 weeks and am holding them together with gaffers tape.First the sole separated at the toe (at about 2 weeks) then the other day I noticed they were split along the side in front showing the white composite material. I have them taped up now and can look forward to another 10 months before I get another shoe voucher.I had to turn in the receipt to the company or I would have returned them. Thanks much Lehigh and thanks much Rocky.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent boot I wear these boots everyday on the job site. I've had multiple pairs of these boots and I honestly can't say enough about them. These boots are very comfortable and durable. They hold up well to the sustained beating they take while walking around and are keep my feet dry even during some of the wettest weather. These boots also keep your feet a little warmer in the winter while keeping you safe. The composite toe does not draw as much heat away from your feet as a traditional steel toe. The only complaint I have is that I've managed to cut one of the lugs on the edge of the sole.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Okay, but not wide The problem with these shoes is the insulation. The "wide" is not wide due to the shoes being very over-insulated. There is so much insulation inside that I had to return the first pair and order an entire size larger. Even with the larger size, they are still too narrow. I do not have this problem with other shoes (ie, the Lehigh 5030).The composite toe is nice for reducing weight, and the shoes are waterproof as advertised. However, you still end up with wet feet because the shoes are so over-insulated and hot that your feet sweat. Even in extremely cold weather, and working in snow, these shoes are still to hot. I wore these shoes working in -30 degree temperatures, and they were still to warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from simply the best out there These boots work like gang busters they are over a year old and still feel as good and provide as much support as the day I bought them. Last week we had torential rain. It flooded in our area and we had over two feet standing in some areas these boots did thier job and live up to thier water proof claim. This is the only work shoe that I will ever buy again. If you work on your feet in excess of 8 hours a day you will be extremely pleased with these boots. Btw they are not unbearably hot in the summer. A solid built good looking work shoe.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from fell appart quickly I am a route delivery driver for a soda co that has recently started to require safety toe boots. The company is attempting to phase out our boot reimbursement and has gone to Lehigh. Two hours into my second day wearing the Rocky Alpha Force boots the PLASTIC eyelet broke off. Now I guess that I should have known that something like this would happen however I thought I would have gotten a few weeks out of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this work boot is comfortable. Very happy with the product. I am a loyal customer for the last 20 years. This is my first time buying from the Lehigh web site. I definitely like the no shipping and no handling fee. I use my boots for work and casual. My only concern was when the product was delivered it was left outside the front door. Anyone walking by could have picked up a free pair of boots.
