Lehigh Safety Shoe Co. has been providing protective toe safety shoes since the early 1920's initially under the name of Lehigh Rubber and Leather Company.
There have been many upgrades in technology over time allowing for better Lehigh products. One of the key technology changes has allowed for footwear that can provide underfoot puncture resistance while still providing great flexibility. Lehigh stock # 5621 is designed with those features in mind.
Lehigh stock # 5621 work boot is made with a two density bottom including a high quality rubber bottom that combines both excellent slip resistant and wear qualities.
A key comfort feature of Lehigh stock # 5621 is its contoured removable polyurethane cushion insole that is excellent for those seeking direct underfoot cushioning. The polyurethane material used in its insole is known for its cushioning while not bottoming out features.
In addition to meeting the highest ASTM F2413-05 Impact & Compression standards, the Lehigh stock # 5621 work boot also has a Puncture Resistant steel plate that helps provide underfoot protection from nails and needles. This can be an excellent feature for those working in the waste industry.
As a further addition, Lehigh stock # 5621 work boot also complies with ASTM F2413-05 Electrical Hazard standards. This type of work boot is made with insulating bottoms providing secondary electrical hazard protection to those areas dealing with open circuits under dry conditions, but also can be worn in work areas requiring only basic protective toe work boots.

Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to slow down conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
Puncture Resistant
PR footwear reduces the possibility of sharp objects (nails, glass or metal) penetrating through the outsole causing injury to the foot. Protection is provided by a steel or puncture resistant material imbedded in the insole of the footwear.
