This Commander-X5 boot has a steel toe that meets the ASTM standards for impact and compression. The boot also meets the ASTM standard for electric hazard and can protect you against up to 18,000 volts accidental exposure. The ASTM-rated internal metatarsal guard protects the top of your foot beyond your toes. Underfoot, the Vibram® Commander rubber outsole is slip-resistant to protect you against falls. This outsole is also resistant to heat, oil, metal chips, and chemicals.
This boot also strives to keep your feet comfortable. This boot has a moisture-wicking and antibacterial lining to keep your feet fresh. The waterproof leather upper protects you against the elements. The removable Ortholite® insole cushions your feet with an open-cell PY foam that will not flatten over time.
The traditional cowboy qualities of this boot help it too look great and be practical for work. This 11 " boot is mahogany with contrast stitching and a square toe.

Protective Toe
Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand. Our boots are I75/C75
Electrical Hazard
Footwear is built with nail-free construction to help insulate you from the ground to slow down conduction, but is not intended to be primary protection against electric shock. Leather footwear must be dry. Our electrical hazard boots meet and exceed ASTM electrical hazard standards.
Metatarsal Guard
Footwear offering metatarsal protection is designed to prevent or reduce injuries when the toe and metatarsal areas of the foot are exposed to "drop" hazards. Metatarsal protection safety shoes may be constructed with either internal or external metatarsal guards.
