We receive many inquiries regarding what footwear we have that helps deal with the stress and strain of walking and/or standing on concrete floors for long periods of time.

We actually have a number of different styles that we might suggest under those circumstances, but these suggestions can also be significantly influenced by what other features are needed by a particular customer.

We have relatively recently started providing a line of Georgia Boot FLX Point work shoes that are ideally designed with this concern in mind.

Most of the Georgia FLX Point products start off by having excellent traction because of their relatively thin layer rubber outsole.  Their comfort features come their polyurethane midsole that helps make the boots lighter and helps absorb impact as the worker steps down.

This polyurethane midsole is cored out so an extra thick polyurethane Comfort Core footbed can fit inside of it.  The polyurethane footbed provides direct underfoot cushion comfort. 

This combination of components from the bottom of the foot to the ground along with an injection bottom construction allow for an extremely flexible shock absorbing boot to help the worker walking &/or standing for long time periods on hard surfaces.

These FLX Point products are offered in a number of different styles including basic working boots as well as Composite Protective Toe versions and different height versions.

As highlighted in previous writings, many Michelin styles are made with its orthotic chassis insole that not only has excellent polyurethane cushion insole material in it, but also has a rigid TPU (Thermoplastic urethane) based that is engineered and geared for the wearer needing or desiring arch support.

Another popular line of shoes we have highlighted at times is the Timberland PRO Titan package that has some of the lightest weight protective toe footwear to be found.  If lightweight is the key feature you are seeking, you would likely want to check out these Timberland PRO Titan products.
