Nobody Steals Bowling Shoes!

Would you rather look good now or later?

A number of years of my time in the footwear industry have been spent in the Product Development area.  While my eye for style has never been strong, I have been fortunate to work around other talented development people who I was able to learn from as well as utilize some of their skills, while I concentrated more on the detail aspects.

My challenged style skills were not a problem years ago when I happened to work on some rental bowling shoe product development because the goal then was to make the shoes not look too good so people would be less likely to possibly steal them.  This was a natural development task to assign to me.

We also make some other boots in our Lehigh line that do not look too appealing.  However, it is not to try to prevent theft, but it is to provide additional protection.  This is true of our metatarsal guard footwear that is to help provide instep protection along with the toes.

Whether you are looking at an external metatarsal guard style such as our Lehigh stock # 1246 or an internal metatarsal guard style such as our Lehigh stock # 5355, please keep in mind that the extra instep protectors detracting from the appearance of those shoes may someday be the difference whether your foot appearance and health is to possibly change unfavorably.

If your work is such where a potential hazard exists that may result in blunt trauma injury to the metatarsal portion of the foot resulting from falling, moving, or rolling objects or equipments; please keep in mind that the extra protection feature of metatarsal footwear could be a real asset for you.
