Rocky Boots: 8” Mobilite Waterproof Work Boot R6115 Rocky Outdoor Gear is a world leader in rugged outdoor and occupational footwear. The Rocky goal to provide quality outdoor and occupational footwear has not changed since the doors opened over 70 years ago. Most known for their outdoor boots, Rocky also has a wide array of boots in other categories including Rocky work boots, Rocky western boots, Rocky duty boots, and Rocky hiking boots. There have been many upgrades in technology over time allowing for better Rocky products. One of the key introductions by Rocky through the years has been the introduction of its oblique steel toe cap. The Rocky Mobilite oblique toe cap was made with a higher and wider design than traditional steel toe caps. This higher and wider design helped create steel toe footwear that exceeded the highest Protective Toe Footwear standards for Impact & Compression resistance by significant amounts. This has helped provide additional wearer safety from falling or rolling objects. Work boots with this steel toe cap have also been utilized by many people through the years who have wanted &/or physically needed more toe room than conventional steel toe caps provide. One style in particular utilizing the Rocky Mobilite steel toe cap that Lehigh has added to its safety shoe line has been the Rocky 8” work boot stock # R6115. In addition to the Moblite steel toe cap, Rocky stock # R6115 also has a exceptionally soft tumbled upper leather. The tumbling process performed by the leather tannery helps break-up and soften the leather lessening the break-in for the wearer. An additional comfort feature not to be overlooked in Rocky stock # R6115 is its waterproof construction. It combines a waterproof inner layer with the upper providing a barrier that helps keep water out and feet dry. In addition to meeting the highest ASTM F2413-05 Impact & Compression standards, Rocky stock # R6115 also complies with its Electrical Hazard standards. This type of footwear is made with insulating bottoms providing secondary electrical hazard protection to those areas dealing with open circuits under dry conditions, but also can be worn in work areas requiring only basic protective toe footwear.
