There have been many upgrades in technology over time allowing for better safety shoes. One of the key features Lehigh has been using in a number of styles is its TS-100 steel toe cap. The Lehigh TS-100 steel toe cap is made with a higher and wider design than traditional steel toe caps. This higher and wider design helps create steel toe footwear that exceeds the highest ASTM F2413-05 Protective Toe footwear standards for Impact & Compression by significant amounts. Work boots with this steel toe cap also have been utilized by many people who have wanted &/or physically need more toe room than conventional steel toe caps provide. As a further addition, Lehigh stock # 5039 work boot also complies with ASTM F2413-05 Electrical Hazard standards. This type of work boot is made with insulating bottoms providing secondary electrical hazard protection to those areas dealing with open circuits under dry conditions, but also can be worn in work areas requiring only basic protective toe work boots.
