Polyurethane outsole material not only helps make lighter weight steel toe work boots, but also gives to help take some of the stress and strain away from the wearer’s feet and body. Lehigh stock # 5088 work boot is also made with a Non-metallic composite toe cap. The combination of this toe cap along with the other features of 5088 allow this style to meet the highest ASTM F2413-05 Protective Toe footwear standards for Impact & Compression resistance. The unique combination of this toe cap’s protective properties along with it being a non-metallic material, make it ideal for areas requiring protective toe safety shoes that may have to pass through metal detectors during work. This is well suited for various transportation and prison oriented work areas. Adding to the Lehigh stock # 5088 work boot comfort package is its soft tumbled upper leather. The tumbling process performed by the leather tannery helps break-up and soften the leather lessening the break-in for the wearer. As a further addition, Lehigh stock # 5088 work boot also complies with ASTM F2413-05 Electrical Hazard standards. This type of work boot is made with insulating bottoms providing secondary electrical hazard protection to those areas dealing with open circuits under dry conditions, but also can be worn in work areas requiring only basic protective toe work boots.
