1213 Lehigh Safety Shoe Co. has been providing protective toe safety shoes since the early 1920’s initially under the name of Lehigh Rubber and Leather Company. There have been many upgrades in technology over time allowing for better products from Lehigh and the other divisions of Rocky Brands including Durango. One of the key comfort related technology changes has allowed for the internal construction of some styles to be cored out in the manufacturing process to allow extra thick cushion insoles that can be used in them. Durango stock # 1213 is designed with those features in mind. Durango stock # 1213 work boot is made with a high quality rugged rubber bottom that is actually baked or fused to the upper allowing this steel toe work boot to be extremely flexible. In addition to meeting the highest ASTM F2413-05 Impact & Compression standards, Durango stock # 1213 also complies with ASTM F2413-05 Electrical Hazard standards. This type of work boot is made with insulating bottoms providing secondary electrical hazard protection to those areas dealing with open circuits under dry conditions, but also can be worn in work areas requiring only basic protective toe work boots.
